Ft Lauderdale Temple

We were so excited when President Monson announced a temple would be built here in the Ft Lauderdale area. The members here have been so dedicated to travelling up to Orlando on buses once a month, they always run out of the spaces on the bus. It was all anyone could talk about in church this past sunday. Where will it be? How big is it going to be? What will it look like? How soon will it open? etc...
The bishop said they really don't know much yet, it's still in the very very beginning stages, but he said that since they had previously asked the members to pray for a closer temple, and it had been granted that they should now change their prayers. So we've been asked to pray that the obtaining of the site, land, permits, etc, as well as construction would go quickly, smoothly and without incident so that we can have the temple as quickly as possible.
If any of you would join us in these prayers it would be greatly appreciated.
Tyler and I figure since we're only planning on being here another year or so, that we'll be in Gainesville by the time it opens, but we are looking forward to giving our non-member family in the area a chance to see inside the "buildings that they waited outside of while Tyler and I were married" (as well as my mom and dad).
I wasn't there yet, I got to the mission right after it was over, but Tyler was telling me the other day a little bit more about when the Redlands Temple opened up, it was right outside of our mission (San Berardino, CA) but all of our missionaries were asked to help with the open house, and he was talking about what a blessing it was to the area, and also how much it boosted missionary work in the area. We're all so excited. :)
