End of October

I'm Back!!! So a lot more has happened since Tyler's original post, I'll try and update you without going into every tiny little detail of his life. But, I'm pretty sure you can tell from the pictures that we are camera happy and are trying to document every little detail... you just don't necessarily need it dictated to you. :)

This kinda goes a little backwards but it shouldn't be too confusing. This morning we went over to Uncle Richard & Aunt Sammi's and so we got Nicholas dressed up in his cool football outfit, because it is game day after all... He also wore his favorite shoes, the Jordans that he wore home from the hospital.

Cousin Jessica loves to hold the baby. If she would get her license, she could come over and hold him any time she wanted! ;)
Everyone takes a turn holding him (after Sammi, of course, she gets him first) so here is Uncle Rich taking his turn, and playing with the burp rag on Nicholas's head.

He makes the cutest faces. This one looks so pathetic, but he really isn't sad. :)
These are random pictures I took I think... yesterday.
He really is a peaceful baby, but I thought I would post this one because he is so dang cute, even when he's upset! No worries, he only cried for a few seconds and then all was well again.

OK so, here are some pictures from the hospital AFTER the hospital. We got released from the Coral Springs Medical Center on Saturday the 24th, and brought him to the pediatrician the next day for a bilirubin test, which was ok, but a little high, so we brought him in again the next day (Monday) and from the day before to then, it had jumped to a 19, which is quite high, so Tyler went to work and I got a ride from a friend in our ward to the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital, where Nicholas was admitted. He was put on the blue light bili blanket where he stayed until Wednesday night. It was sad to be back in the hospital, but we knew it was a pretty routine thing, and that we would be going home soon. But we were so relieved when we finally got to go home, because home is always better. Tyler and I were ready to sleep in our own bed again, instead of sharing a twin size hospital bed.

We love this picture, becuase he does this all the time, puts his little hands behind his head. He's just chillin'

The light of the blanket can do damage to his eyes, so he had to wear these little shades, but they kept coming off his face with the strap behind his head, so we ended up taping them to his face with the paper tape. He really didn't like them, and we were torn, because he was so cute in them, but we hated to do that to him.
Here's our little glow worm.

On Wednesday afternoon my mom got into town to help us out with the baby and the household stuff for a while, and so this was her meeting her newest grandson for the first time.

He always sticks his legs out straight like this, when we're changing his diaper, or when he's eating, or whenever he feels like it, which is often.
