Pumpkin Patch 2012

We had to make sure we got to a pumpkin patch this year, so we went this past Saturday. This year has been a bit more crazy with Tyler's work/school, car problems and other general activities going on, so it was just a quick trip to the Trinity Methodist Church's patch. We had fun, and then went home and got ready for the trunk or treat at our church.
Here are some of the fun pictures I took. (We didn't really get any baby pics because they were sleeping... and we don't wake sleeping babies for ANYTHING around these parts)

This is Will (in case you don't quite recognize them yet!)

Cold day at the park

It was a beeeautiful day at the park today!

Ward party and Trunk or Treat

We were all pirates for the ward Halloween party this year. Nicholas was so excited to be "Jake & the Neverland Pirates." He kept talking about sailing the Never Seas lol!

Things

Nicholas saw me getting the breast pump ready, and said "Mommy what you're doing with that pumping thing?"
I said "I'm going to pump some milk."
"Out your thing?"
"Yes, out my thing."

Irrational Fears

I am afraid of having my eyes closed while in the bathroom. Mostly while showering. I don't think I need to explain why I am paranoid about not being able to see or hear (from the noise of the shower) if someone comes in to slash me through the curtain. Add to that the fact that I am scared of getting water in my eyes, and I'm a basket case.
The whole idea of a shower curtain is what gets to me the most. It's the perfect hiding place. I used to check behind the curtain before I sat on the toilet in every bathroom ever, every single time.
I haven't done that in a while, mostly because we have clear shower curtains and have since we got married. I mean, who were we trying to hide from? Right? Clear choice.
So, I had sort of forgotten about my fear of someone sneaking into the bathroom while I was showering. Until today while I was showering, I looked down and saw my 3 yr old standing outside my shower curtain with a bag of popcorn like the stealthy little ninja that he is. Now I remember. :)

Giggles and Thumbs

So James laughs too, but he really makes you work for it. Today he was crying so I started talking to him and making those silly noises that babies get us to make just so we look like fools... and he started randomly laughing at me. This was the first time he's laughed at being tickled. Usually he's like "what the heck are you doing, lady?"

Nicholas learned a cool trick from his Grandma Rhoda the last time she visited. It was "thumbs up!" which is not so easy for him due to his preference toward using his middle finger for everything.
So, to help we started singing the Thumbkin song. :)

Welcome!
