Joy and Friendship

If I could bottle up some joy and sell it, or even just store it for another day, I would get it from this day at the beach, watching Nicholas play with his friends. 

These kids have sort of become real people at the same time, and in a lot of ways together. They play so well (fights are few and short-lived) and are so creative. Nicholas misses these friends so much, it was great to get them together. 

As a bonus, all of the parents get along really well too! ;) And it's a good thing, because we just happened to get stuck in a torrential rain storm, huddled up under one beach canopy. It was a bonding experience for sure, and we are so lucky to have such great friends as these!

Needless to say, all of our stuff got soaked too. I ended up drying off the boys with an extra onesie from the car. 

As a side note, I took pictures of the kids at lunch the other day, and put them side-by-side because everyone always wants to know who looks like who (whom?). You tell me!...
