Eight Crazy Years

Yesterday was our anniversary, and we had made plans. Our anniversary plans never seem to work out how we envision them, but we always end up taking time just to recognize it. So I guess that's a win, right? 

So this time we ended up bringing all our kids with us to Charleston for the day. We did a children's museum instead of nice restaurants and window shopping. 

Our kids are a huge part of our marriage, so they might as well take part in the celebrations. :)

Oops, I did it again!

Blogging has not been a top priority lately. What can I say? We have been busy. But not "doing grand things" busy, more like "daily grind" kind of busy. 

The kids are really enjoying day care these days, which simultaneously warms my heart, and makes it ache. You know what I mean. But, I am so glad that they enjoy it. We are trying to figure out what to do with N next year, but there are a lot of "what ifs" to answer still before anything becomes a real option. 

The babies are talking more and more. It's cute to see how different they do things, ie- James has been obsessed with saying who everything belongs to for about a month. He goes around picking things up and saying "daddy!" Or "mommy!" Will calls Tyler "poppa" and I am "momma" and I don't know where he picked up on those, but he never says mommy or daddy. It is especially interesting because James says those two words constantly.

Catch-Up: Nicholas's BDay Party

Well, it's been a while. I did take pictures, with the good camera even. For Nicholas's 4th birthday, we weren't going to do a party with friends, because I had decided to do something with just family every other year, and this was his just family year.
However, he had been to a few friends birthday parties recently and had been talking about "his birthday party" a lot. So, maybe next year we can do family only for all three boys. We'll see...

Nicholas specifically asked for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party, but an Iron Man birthday cake. We didn't order a cake in time, so I frosted some temporary tatoos on a publix cake with an Iron Man deco kit.

We had the party at a local park, not realizing it was the Shrimp Festival that day. For those who don't know, this area is big on shrimping and oysters. So, sorry to everyone who came and had to park 5 miles away... (especially Jessica who was super pregnant at the time!)
